Maps REST API

At the moment there is a single possible call to request data from the database. The current call will allow you to search the database around a certain set of coordinates.  This is in the form:

HTTP GET  http://www.nepalquake.org/picturemap/API1/map/pictures?lat=&lng=&radius=

Parameters:

lat : latitude of search center

lng: longitude of search center

radius: the search radius in miles

The result is a JSON feed. If a sufficiently large radius is entered, the full database will be returned. (Apologies for using miles instead of SI units, I completely forgot that others don’t use imperial units.)

e.g

http://www.nepalquake.org/picturemap/API1/map/pictures?lat=27.7&lng=85.2&radius=1

returns everything 1 mile roughly around KTM.  The url is a link to the original image with all EXIF data intact on Amazon S3. The lat and lng are the values as extracted from the image on upload.  The distance is in miles.
